Nice to see Dan still has the Matchless I built for him back in 1993. He is the GOAT!

I challenge anyone who thinks Dan is just a premier studio musician to listen to Giant and not be gobsmacked by how close he was to becoming a huge rockstar.  If he’d arrived in LA a decade earlier, his vocals alone would have filled arenas.

Dann is such a monster, but he's so amazingly polite and modest....

Oh man the key change into the solo and that slide, and then that beautiful solo ❤️ In an instant I'm 12 again. Thanks for all the music Dann🍻❤️ And Mason, thanks for letting us all be a part of your hang 🍻🍻

Dan Huff is the Real Deal. Giant's 1992 album Time to Burn is still my go to album. It is a perfect rock album. Stellar musicianship, amazing songwriting, Incredible vocals and the engineering/production is out of this world.

For being such a musical monster and production genius, he's such a cool down to earth guy.  I was always a huge fan of his guitar playing but now I like him even better as a person.

Love these episodes with Jedi Guitar Master  Dann Huff

Thank you Mason! Truly appreciate the time and work you put into these videos.  Knocking out of the park brother 🙌🏼🙌🏼

He really takes everyone into his world. What a cool guy.

I absolutely love this interview!  Dann has been my favorite guitarist/musician/producer since I first heard him play in the 80's.  It's amazing to me how he navigated his career from gospel to pop/rock to country between LA and Nashville.  What an incredible story.  I love hearing Dann recount his experiences over the years.  Thank you for sharing this.

Huff is the GOAT! Thanks for capturing this detailed series! Fantastic interview!!

This interview is the MOST wanted in a million years for me. You’re knocking it out of the park, Mason.

Your passion for these interviews is inspiring. When you interview it’s seems so genuine and watching enjoyment of the artist playing you smile says it all.

Dang.. Dan is still the GOAT imo.

Any hope for a rig rundown of his OG rig?

Most people won't know this but Mutt grew up in South Africa in the 70's. During this time the country was in cultural isolation through apartheid and got very little international exposure. What did make its way through was a few 70's rock bands, some abba and a lot of country music. Combining this with local folk styles resulted in a near perfect format for what AOR internationally would later become and Mutt defiantly was influenced by it and it formed his blue print. After he left SA to work in the UK the timing of the NWOBHM and his formative influence would almost certainly have fitted perfectly and Mutt honed his sound to what we now know as his formula. You hear it in Def Leppard, Bryan Adams and even the Corrs and Shania Twain. Very melodic, almost country like in areas but enough meat and potatoes to be basic rock and roll. Giant was huge in South Africa and it resonated with a lot of fans there, now we know why...

Oh man this is so cool. Always loved that song from Michael Bolton

Love Dan Huff 🌹❤

Two of my "Rock Heros"...Dan Huff and Mutt Lange with the third being Pete Townsend. This wasn't an "Interview". It was just a couple of guys hanging out and enjoying their time together. BRAVO Gentleman! :)

Dan Huff is 1 of the greatest mucians and guitarist on the planet!
