Russian President Vladimir Putin says the global situation will gradually “change for the better” as what he described as Western hegemony declines.
Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club in Moscow, Putin argued that the world is moving towards what he called a more stable, democratic and free multipolar international order. He also warned that international conflicts are highly likely to continue as the global balance changes and said the transition towards a new world order would carry significant risks. Reuters reported the remarks from Putin’s Oct. 1 speech
