This video inspired me to restore my wife's old toothbrush

Nice work on restoring that grill! 🔥🔥🔥

If you would like to clean your grill without so much work, try what I do.  Put a bowl of AMMONIA inside the grill and put the lid on.  Put a large black plastic trash bag over the entire grill, and put it out in the sun all afternoon.  When you take the bag off, just hose the grill out with water and you are done.  Ammonia is what is in oven cleaner.

When the guy started to work opening a beer I had a good feeling  that the video  would be great.

something enjoyable about restoring something to new. I'd have opted for the gloss high temp paint but that's a subjective choice. Looks good and most important going to cook good. Enjoy.

EXACTLY what I've been searching for.  Thank you for posting!!!!

Great job on that kettle restore

I use a hacksaw to remove the rusty nut on the rusted air vent.  A wire brush works well on the grates and botton rack that holds the legs

cleaning ....it has to be done... Thank you, Pottstown, Pa beer, bro.

Awesome. Some advice for the youngsters: When buying a grill, you simply cannot beat a Weber for value. You just can't. They're the best bang for buck. But.... It's 100% worth it to pony up the extra simoleons  to get the bigger, nicer model. The finish on them is stellar. Much nicer and tougher. My upgrade has been out without a cover for ages and still looks great, while my old cheapie is rusting in the scrap heap, looking just like this wreck. Now I might have to restore it...

Awesome video! I found the same model on the side of the road today and thought it would make a good project! Never used a kettle before, this video is the first step! Thanks!

Good work brother! Getting ready to restore one myself this video was super helpful Thanks

For what it costs for cleaning product, parts, and labor, a new one makes most sense. Good information on cleaning one up though.

Another way to remove the gunk without damaging or scratching any of the enamel is to use a Steamer with the scotch-Brite attachment, without almost any pressure the steam will melt\dissolve most of the gunk\grease within seconds and the Scotch-Brite helps with any stubborn gunk. You'll be done in half the time or faster using a steamer...

Thank you from France for this video. I have a lot to do on my weber !
