When I was around four my mom would get up each morning and dress me while I was half asleep. She’d scrunch up the shirt and put it over my head. Than put my pants on. Than she’d get the blow dryer and put them in the openings of my socks to warm them up for my feet. Than do the same with my gloves. I’d lay there listening to the sound of the blow dryer and it gave my baby brain tingles of comfort. I lost my mom unfortunately to cancer. I was seven. I miss her but I’m glad I have memories like that to remember her by. Thank you for posting this and giving me comfort through sound.

I'm not alone.

That sound reminds me the mornings that my mom was preparing for work. I was in the bed felling warm listening to that sound and planing for my future. Here I am right now, in the army trying to feel close to my family listening to that amazing sound again. Good old days!

This video has had 30 million views, imagine how many fussy babies and anxious adults all over the world you have helped with this

I love this part of youtube, people being nice with each other and sharing their childhood stories, it is so peaceful 😌

Man I miss when I was young and stress free. I would listen to my mum dry her hair and it would send me to sleep so fast. It was so satisfying when she would turn the hairdryer to me. Man those were good times I'd do anything to go back.

It's great to read other people's stories while listening to this, so here's mine.

I always remember liking the sound of hair dryers, vacuum cleaners and stuff like that, however I didn't realize how relaxing this sound can be until I discovered this video.

This sound reminds me of those mornings when I was younger and I felt warm in bed while my mom dried her hair and got ready for work, it was such a cozy feeling.

I also remember following my mom as she vacuumed the house in the afternoon. I remember our vacuum cleaner used to blow some hot air backwards, so I'd just stand behind the vacuum and follow it everywhere, while I took the hot air in my face and heard that sound that made me feel so cozy.

Sadly, when I was 16, I lost my mother to cancer. Today in my 20s, when I feel sad and lost, I usually watch this video because it reminds me of the good old memories I have with my mom.

Thank you for posting this video and giving me this peaceful feeling! ❤🕊

The moment when you come back to the real world and have to stop the sound, real world sucks without this permanent sound

The fact that they still heart the comments even after 11 years is amazing

because when we were young we felt our moms in the bathroom getting ready, after telling us repeatedly to wake up! and those minutes were endless sleep ...

just me scrolling through the comments while my baby is falling asleep to the sound

Its so nice to read people's stories while listening. Here one of mine!
So i also grew up loving the hairdryer, both listening to my mom blowdrying and having it on me. And at some point in middle school i realised how relaxing drying your hair while laying in bed is. So in the evening when i took my bath twice a week i would bundle up in my bed and get so comfortable. But middle school was also the time where i transitioned from watching Disney Channel daily on TV to not really watching TV anymore. So what i would do was, because i didn't have a TV in my room, i would get my laptop, search up the channel online, find a server and enjoy my disney shows as i was blowdrying! Good times.

Now i am almost 18, in highschool, so scared for the future, bundled up in the same bed, worrying ab a test tomorrow and comforfing myself with this while my hair is freshly washed and dried. You know what? I think everything is going to be great! I am actually, genuinely excited for life, and whoever is reading this, i hope you are too. We are so lucky to be where we are and life will always give us a second chance! Remember that! Its not over, its never over!(If you got this far, do yourself a favour and unclench your jaw) Have a great night/day!

1. Step - Put your phone/tablet on charger batery.
2. Step - Trun on this sound.
3. Step - Sleep like a baby.
Love this!

It's like a drug, I don't fall asleep without that sound now.

I love how one sound can bring so many people together feeling good. The childhood memories that we all share from this one noise is amazing to me. Stay safe out there fellow hairdryer lovers. Much love to everyone

its kinda stupid but really it makes me cosy and gives me goosebumps. I usually like listening to it when im feeling cold

ahhhh, I just love the sound of  a hair dryer, so relaxing I don't even know why. Also love the sound of a vacuum cleaner. I can remember as a kid half asleep in my bed on a Saturday morning and my mom would be vacuuming at the same time, it would just put me in another dimension or something, almost in a trance.

It’s been two years since I posted some comments here and I find myself coming back to this video, thinking about my childhood and my future. Things have changed so much in 2 years. I was not even 18 when I posed those comments and now I’m 20 and in college. Overall life turned out nicely but there is still a weird dread I feel especially when I come home. I am writing this from my childhood bed after I washed my hair and it’s hard to put thoughts into words for some reason. So I will just let them be. Life is never as bad as it seems, you just need to take a step back and get a new perspective. I’m studying english literature. I have amazing people in my life. I think I’m going to be alright.

I thought I'm the only one who likes this sound but there's many people here with me 🥺😭 it's magical I swear
