A fun idea could be Worlds Most Employed - it could be animals that have jobs in their species (like many colony based animals/insects), jobs with humans (service dogs, military dolphins), or even individual animals that had very specific jobs with research or other things (nefertiti the spidernaut, freckles the spider-goat, Cororal Wojtek the bear)

this coming out on the same day the yard is clueless about outdoor cats is awesome

cat patios (catios) are great for getting them outside for fresh air and sunlight and enrichment! Tents work pretty good if you are nearby

Being from an island I always felt very strongly about invasive species, this video was so great....also the rat talk made me think more deeply about the links between colonialism and the loss of diversity here in the Caribbean. I'm sure other parts of the world and their special native animals and plants have suffered the same :(

World’s busiest: talk about keystone species that serve so many roles in their ecosystem!

I love cats, have been around them all my life. I currently have two sweet cats I got from a shelter. But yeah, I'm not letting them roam free to wreak havoc. When they want fresh air, I let them out in a small patio surrounded by high walls they can't possibly get out of.

Connor… I’m in Alberta and we still got a big problem with mice and people use poisons still and it does affect other animals. It’s sad and I wish they would stop that practice. But it is true. No rats here 👍🏻

Ideas:
World's brightest: an episode on bioluminescence
World's trickiest: creatures who've evolved to use traps, lures, and/or mimicry
World's biggest comebacks: creatures who came back from verge of extinction

worlds most dramatic (in literally anything, hunting style, mating style, their appearance, their food, their behaviors)

Idk why but this podcast is an integral part of my sleeping routine (you guys are saving the world and fixing my insomnia)

Another thing to touch on is culture. I’m an American and I live in New Zealand and work in conservation. In America it’s very common (75% of pet cats) are indoor cats but in the UK which influences NZ culture, most (75%of pet cats) are outdoor cats. So although I am very used to seeing happy indoor kitties most people that live here think that indoor cats are sad and it’s cruel to make them live like that. It would be good to try to change the narrative by showing people that cats can live very fulfilling lives indoors. Especially because of the dire situation of our native wildlife.

Suggestion!:
World's brightest!!

Some of the most colorful animals. From king vultures, different snake morphs, chameleons, to so many different beetles.

You could even talk about how so many animal species see multiple different lights and colors like mantis shrimp!!!

I love they go more in depth on the single animals. Very interesting episode :)

Great info on the cat predation issue, it’s all true people! Spay or neuter your cats and keep them safe inside. The world is much better when they have enough comfort not to destroy the environment. They deserve our love and support!

This came out while I was writing an op-ed about the importance of keeping cats indoors and their impact on the environment for one of my environmental science courses! Now that I’m done with the draft I can finally watch haha

This is why as a TNR volunteer I get SO ANGRY at people trying to justify to me their "indoor/outdoor" or just straight up OUTDOOR cats also HAPPY TO SAY idk if it's because our cats are fed every single day twice a day they have lived for years happily with chickens/ pigeons/ peacocks/ ducks/ etc and we've never had a problem with them attacking any of the birds.

I love that this came out the same day as Ludwig calling you asking about Cats on The Yard.

Ty for changing the thumbnail

Thanks for this response to the Yard's lies and deceit

15:50 putting this on full volume so my spoilt indoor cats can hear
