We built the world’s skinniest wakeboard by taking a slalom ski, mounting wakeboard bindings on it, and raising the bindings off the ski. Then we put it behind a wake boat to see if it was actually possible to ride and jump.
Getting up on this thing was WAY harder than we expected. Three of us managed to get up and ride it, and we even got a few small jumps — but we couldn’t quite make it across the entire wake.
So instead of giving up, we decided to learn how to barefoot water ski at 40 MPH.
We started on the boom, moved to a shoreline, and eventually worked our way up to long-line barefooting. We also brought along an advanced wakeboarder who put the skinny wakeboard to the test and threw down some crazy wakeboarding and barefooting tricks.
From riding the skinniest wakeboard ever to barefooting across the lake at 40 MPH, this was one of the craziest watersports challenges we've done.
