This game makes me almost believe England is real, but alas

love that the protagonist never has a set size and can simply shrink to fit the scenario

Fun fact, Barnsworth where this game is set is based on the real town Barnsley and the number you dial for pie mix, 01226, is the number on the front of all Barnsley based businesses. Weird seeing the place I live represented like this but I love it

I like the concept of a tiny, useful man in work clothes just being trusted and accepted in British Society. It's like their version of the Lone Ranger from American Cowboy folklore

Somewhere along the way the phrase "Biblically Accurate England" popped into my head and wouldn't leave. This was such a fever dream.

I love that the subtitles translate the aggressive Englishness of the dialogue

the watering can't bit is so good because its almost the only actual normal straightforward joke in the whole game so you arent ready for it

the best part of this game is that if you just wait in the mayors office for 15 minutes his schedule opens up

As a person from the real life Barnsworth, this game is very accurate. I too ask random small men to do medial tasks for me.

Can't believe they got to invent a country based on this game

i think “game where you play as a comically small man fixing everyone’s problems with monty python-type humour” is my new favourite genre

as a brit from the north, can confirm this is exactly what my childhood was like. kicking binbags, befriending rats, buying fish and cigarettes, and most importantly, experiencing psychological horror.

1:22 found footage horror concept: you are in England

As a British Person, I can confirm that this is 100% accurate to British culture in this British South Park adventure that RT is unable to escape, North Park :_rtgameLUL:

I knew this game was supposed to be based in Barnsley, but it was completely confirmed when they used the Barnsley area code at 17:50, 01226. Recognised it immediately, and as someone from Barnsley, this game is so accurate it’s unreal

As a Northerner, I can confirm this game is as authentic as possible.

After a long day of being in the mine, I'll pop home, finish my pint of gravy and play this game to relax while the wife finishes buttering up the sheep.

I love that for the ending song the only part the player is still smiling at is when he’s helping the mole beat the townsfolk

"Stop the stigma, shit wherever." Resinated with me like nothing else ever has before

The title is incredibly funny to me, because there used to be an australian comedy improv show called Thank God You're Here, where a comedian would be presented with a set and prepared actors that would start the scene by going 'thank god you're here! The hospital is on fire/all the bets at wimbledon have just been cashed in/your mother has just found out about your affair' and then the comedian would have to take the scene from there. Really great show.

It’s heavily implied (as in, all but outright stated) that Roger Peeling’s mother died in childbirth due to his big head. Man’s not had a break from day 1… 20:25
