You giving MD too much love when you say the big 3 lead arizona to a ship..Dickerson was my favorite player on that squad and he one good game during the tournament.
I loved JET on Dallas, especially in regards to Mavs criminally losing Nash in FA, Terry was a breath of fresh air after losing an All Star / All NBA player in Nash.
I wish Dallas had kept Nash, Finley, Dirk Howard, and traded for JET anyway to be off bench veteran heat check, and somehow still brought in Tyson Chandler earlier on.
OR
Dallas signed and traded Nash & Finley to Toronto for Vince Carter and Morris Peterson earlier on to pair with Terry, Howard, Carter, a two defensive centers, 3&D wing off bench guy, and backup PG… would have been totally set from 2005-2012.
Kidd & Marion were also very nice addition as but just old by the time they got to Dallas. I didn’t think the Mavs had a championship run in them after the 2010 playoff letdown. And I’m a Mavericks fan.
And one could argue despite being the second oldest NBA championship team to win it, they should have ran that thing back another season or two. Dirk still had elite game through 2016, and an older veteran team bolded well in a shortened 66-game 2012 season prior to the playoffs, where older teams get a day off or two between games with less traveling.
JT was a good player for a decade or little probably from like 2000 2001 to 2011. He could have made an all start every year from 2001 2011 with his numbers. 20 a game scoring with hawks and matter fact in every year all star game there was somebody that could have been taking out for Terry especially with mavs when team was good 2009 and 2010 Allen Iverson who was purely fan voting since he was like 14 points while Terry was 16-19
He lit LeBron up and he exposed him LeBron was a starter a so called superstar oh that's right a so called superstar plus j terry was just a bench player and that's it compared to LeBron
