If "Pony" wants to just use A.I. images, he may as well just let a robot tattoo the darn thing.

That Pony clip is so disappointing. Horrible take. Tattooing is art and using ai is making it horrible.

I would rather have zero tattoos than art made by AI. That shit is wack as hell and soulless

using AI is a sure way to lose me as a client. I'm about to only go to artists that does freehand designs, don't want this shit on my skin

Pony spent the last 20 years talking about how he had a 1 year healed photo for those quarter sized tattoos he liked to do, straight to praising ai. I’m somehow less than shocked, I also like his air quotes for drawing like drawing isn’t a real thing

it's the difference between an artist and a printer
i'm not going to pay a printer the same thing as an artist

oh Pony the guy who put out a 3 dollar APP that literally is a desaturate button called a stencil creator lol

Pony's comment just shows how lazy he is. Traditional artists such as painters etc train so they can do realistic images in imaginary settings all the time really well. It's all a matter of training, and just shows how lazy most tattooists are, but its totally doable for almost anyone if they just put in the training.  Very disappointed in pony, so slack.

if i found out my tattoo artist used ai in my tattoo, I'm suing them for false advertisement. i signed up for human made art being put on my body, not ai slop. I also think that using ai for art makes artist worse and makes them stop being artists for like months or years if its that bad. also IF YOU CANT DO CREATIVE REALISM WHY ARE YOU SELLING CREATIVE REALISM?

Im talking using ai in their own creation or claiming its their own art, not slapping in prompts for fun at home

Ink master has done irreversible damage to the industry

hate that people use AI for references like photoshop and yk looking at a couple different photos and drawing a good ass picture aren't options.

The moment i see a tattoo artist use ai, i am out. As an artist there is no ethic way to use this shit that is trained on material stolen from other artists. I see no difference in directly stealing the design if another artist without using permission and i would never support someone with that mindset with my money. If a tattoo artist is not confident in doing what i want, they need to just be open about it and decline the job and maybe point me to someone good at doing this kind of art.  Luckila i am an artist myself and bring my self made designs with me.

Booking my flight to mexico only to ask Kirk to tattoo his name on my body in script

AI has no place in art.

I went to the Instagram of the person who did the dog tattoo. She is incredibly talented!

I'd let a methed out scratcher tattoo me in the back of a moving trailer with a used needle before I ever got an AI drawn tattoo

22yrs tattooing, 3rd generation tattooer,4th and last tattooer in my family. Old school apprenticship and education, raised and started in a street shop. FUCK AI! use it for a reference/as a tool..sure thats great. But just click print and tattoo...thats a cop out..get some tracing paper and a colored pencil and get to it. It saddens me whats happening in the industry...there is a divide right not..its not just old heads vs new generation...its ego and laziness, no appreciation for the mfs who crawled in order for the rest of us to run. Lack of respect, lack of imagination or care. After 2010 things started slowly going in a negative direction in my opinion.

Been drawing all my life. Got into photography to help my art. Used Ai for a few months and it slaughtered my imagination. It took me over a year to get back to being as creative as I was. To creative people, Ai is kinda poison.

The hard part about being a tattoo collector for me is I always find artist that I really like and they’re so far out of my price range and then I find the one that’s within my price range and I’m not a big fan of their art not necessarily that it’s bad but it’s not the style that I want on my body forever, like I understand that you have to pay a lot for art, especially to like support artist, but I feel like tattooing could be so much more affordable for more people if artist didn’t charge what I think is an insane amount for something, idk I just think it’s mind boggling that a half sleeve from someone who’s work I admire is 7000$ as a day rate ( usd ) I just feel like 700$ an hour is so crazy. And if they start using ai to do it then like what is that 700$ an hour going?

You can put photo references in digital programs and photo bash images until you hit a sweet spot in terms of composition

You then do the creative work there’s no need to bring AI into it or change what you offer if it’s outside your artistic scope
