Clemence should never have let that first goal in.... beaten at his near post like that. No doubt about Rocastles winner...what a great player he was. Both Ray and David long gone now sadly.

Without doubt the best atmosphere I ever experienced at any game. No chance of that being replicated today with sterile stadiums. Packed into the Park Lane End like sardines. Deafening noise.

I bought a ticket off a tout for the Shelf. Walked in as soon as they opened the turnstiles. There was already about 100 Gooners in there, so they moved us into the away end.

One of my best ever arsenal fan nights if not the best as wasn’t at Anfield in 89 even though I could have been if I had more faith we would win 2.0🤷🏻‍♂️,although I nearly got crushed in the pen to the left of the goal on the tunnel side as so many arsenal fans in there it was a bit scary to be honest and when you see some of the arsenal fans at the front against the fence you can see how we was lucky there wasn’t a Hillsborough that night as i was struggling to breath on a few occasions that night.Worth it though as seen us win many times at WHL over the years since 78 but that night was my most pleasing one and to win there 3 times 2.1 in a season amazing,getting out after you had to be a bit careful though as lots of unhappy trophy dodger fans about on the walk up the tottenham high road looking for any excuse to start.This was the night arsenal under the great George got back to its former glory especially winning the cup in the final.Had many great years under Wenger but the years under GG were my favourite years and to see this sleeping giant awake again was great to see with lots of titles/cups over the next few years ahead playing some wonderful football also.Cheers George 👍

Even better followed in the final when 2 goals by Charlie Nicholas beat an amazing Liverpool team ...even better the spuds lost the fa cup final to Coventry....forever in our shadows ...still in 2026 lol
