I think we've all heard that Steve Earle coffee table story. Well, I would stand on anybody's coffee table and say that this channel has been, by far,  the best thing out there, year after year.

All these pro players that you chat with are the most interesting, knowledgeable and cool people ever. Yourself included Sir. Thank you.

I’m hoping that young people who are exploring music find your channel Otis.   Your Saturday morning coffee provides grounding.(no pun intended). And your interviews provide so much background to creating, playing, recording and touring and having fun as well as heartbreak.  This did not exist when I was a kid.  It was teen magazine shit back then. This is real.  Much love, Iggy.

Tornado ... Patterson is such a charming storyteller.

I never “ got “ Dylan until Rough and Rowdy ways . That’s a fully formed Bob Dylan album .
Full of metaphor mastery and mystery .

This is gold. Great stuff ….. tornado

tornado. Thank you!

Another priceless interview. You are on a roll, Otis. Thank you.

Awesome hang out interview! Thank you for this one and thanks for all that you do. I love everyone of your interviews and hope to meet ya one day.

I'm going to see Patterson tomorrow night in Decatur Georgia with my two sons. They are 33 and 35 and I'm 72.. It will be good.

Tornado. Helped me get through a difficult day. Keep on keepin on Otis.

I saw Dylan and Willie, in Lexington Ky at Applebee’s park.  It was a small baseball stadium, we got our tickets late, so got the cheap “field” tickets.  The rest of the band I was playing with got the “better” seats, the stage was at second base.  There were only maybe 200 people on the field, but the stands were sold out. And the park refused to let the seat people into the field.  It was a yard party of 200 people with our own beer tent, Bob and Willy were gonna jam.  We kept getting dirty looks all night from the stands, but it’s hands down the best show I’ve ever seen, especially Dylan.  Dylan played piano all night, and never sat down.  He stood hunched over that piano all night, and killed it.  I have a picture of Willy pointing right at me.

"Tornado"--very entertaining tales!

"The clouds started forming at five o'clock p.m..." Tornadoes

One of my best and longest friends Lisa and I saw Drive Bys the day Levon Helm died. They did wonderful versions of The Weight and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. This was in Atlanta.

The anecdote about Booker's dinner story inspiration was so cool. Tornado.

Other member of DBT also told me that Booker T Jones ‘imagine a dinner’ was  also life changing.

DBT is an ALL TIME BAND!!
Criminally underrated-

I hope that’s not an insult’
I just love them so much-

Otis has the most infectious laugh ❤

Saw Drive By Truckers at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester NY in 2013. Old 97s opened. It was an incredible show...DBT played for every bit of 3 hours I'm sure. I ended up talking to the bass player who's name escapes me at the moment outside the venue...he was cool. I was wrecked, I think he was new to the band at the time and I talked to him about his old band the Dexateens. I lost my cell phone that night  I think I left it in the cab. Oh well, it was a great night anyway
