Elden Ring, But I Use MORE Different Magic Schools Each Cycle!

Welcome back to me trying to beat Elden Ring with every magic school! This is the second video in a 6 part series where I’m going to complete 24 new game cycles of Elden Ring using a different magic school each time. Each video will cover 4 of these cycles and each cycle I MUST kill Elden Beast, Malenia, Bayle the Dread and Promised Consort Radahn as well as one non-mandatory remembrance boss of my choosing. Last time, we covered the Oracular, Bestial, Crystalian and Miquellan schools of magic. Some were awesome, some were….not so good. Today, we’re starting off in new game plus 4 with magma sorceries, then using thorn sorceries in new game plus 5. We follow that up with new game plus 6 were we’ll use death sorceries and end on Golden Order incantations in new game plus 7. That’s right, we’ve got another pure holy damage school to finish up. Once again, some stuff performed way better than expected while others caused me physical pain and aneurysyms, including one of the longest boss fights I have ever had in a souls game. 28:13 The lore is that the red gems are what gives the boost to the thorn sorceries. The pants are the only piece of the set that doesn't have them, hence no damage boost.

Fun fact: on ng+, and beyond, you don't get slowed by ANY terrain. Lava, the rot lake, the rot pool in the haligtree, and everything else.
I guess it's not widely known... idk, but it's a really nice QoL feature (if you're even doing further cycles).
One of the few times From is nice to the players lol.

I missed the first one but I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series! I could only do this on ONE playthrough you are insane for doing this 24 times. I'm curious about what you'll think about some of the lesser-used spells, some of them suck but are actually pretty fun to use!

42:08 Surprisingly the only way to actually dodge this attack is to completely outspace it, yep, that's right. Once you see Metyr charging up the attack you're meant to run away asap. Considering she doesn't really use it when you're at point blank range, makes it possible to run backwards from.

Idrk what fromsoft were thinking, typically they don't make attacks that force you to disengage (except Starscourge radahn falling from the sky, but that is a clear telegraph) like most AoE attacks even in the dlc can be rolled through (like bayles and pcr's aoe attacks)

I really like these videos as they shed light onto a lot of magics that many people (myself included) just forget about. I forgot how many cool spells Elden Ring has and it's giving me so many new build ideas.

5:08 Cured skin (i.e. leather) is fairly heat resistant. That's why blacksmiths would wear leather aprons and gloves.

When I did my cycle run, I used Mantle of Thorns on top of the Briar Armor and rolled the giant unmoving dragon, Greyoll, to death. It took me like 20 minutes as I made it a rule to only roll while Mantle was active.
