The Hidden One

The Assassin Brotherhood shows up across the franchise. We’ll always see different ideals and methods, but the one thing that stays the same is a brotherhood’s goal. I'll be ranking the Assassin Brotherhoods from worst to best based on how powerful they were, the impact they had, and the staying power.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin–Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

U ranked all the brotherhoods and then there's Connor single handedly carrying his brotherhood with crippled Achilles😂

It’s crazy how the modern day assassins entire story is carried by the novels and comics since they had really good stories and moments

The Italian Brotherhood is definitely going to be hard for the future games to compete with. They are OP.

Italian brotherhood is the the most stable and uncorrupted brotherhood out there. Their grandmaster is also fighting along with his apprentices and is not just sitting somewhere safe unlike any other branches.

We need a game during Hasan Sabah's time. How he takes back Alamut, becomes mentor, and brings the Hidden Ones out of the shadows and turns them into the notorious Assassins. That would be the brotherhood at its peak

The Ottoman Brotherhood, in my opinion, is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, assassin brotherhood in the series so far. Especially after reading Assassin's Creed Revelations, the novel, where there was more backstory about the Brotherhood and the Byzantine Templar schemes they thwarted in the century before Ezio's arrival.
I love the Ranking style uploads, keep them coming!

Nothing beats ezio and his quest to rebuild the brotherhood from the scratch. Without him, the assassin brotherhood won't even exist or won't be a big threat for the templars, their influence won't even spread out to the whole world if ezio didn't send his recruits to missions all around the globe which helped lessen the templar influence. Truly a goated master assassin

I'm gonna say it and gonna say it once. We needed a yusuf game far more than we needed a bassim game. And the final mission will be greet the italian mentor

I always think of Altair as the father and Ezio being his greatest successor.
If those two were around the same time at their peak the Assassins would have wiped the Templars out completely

I'm surprised the Colonial Assassins aren't at the bottom. They deserved that over the Modern Assassins.

@lukedaniels3850 10 months ago

The only brotherhood I don't like is the Parisian brotherhood The council was so bad they just kept complaining while Arno was dealing with the Templars

@Nerazmus 10 months ago

Altair figured out how to make a proper Brotherhood.
Ezio then went and did it.

Impossible to rank.

For the modern Assassins, to be fair they are still recovering from the Great Purge

You make good points with the Italian brotherhood. Having family and long time friends as each faction is better than new friends and they are great. I'd say the Ottomans are the same level if not slightly ahead. A mix of great training, gear and sheer numbers. Even with heightened hostilities they had literal armies, like 50+ per den defence and storming the docks, level 15 cap instead of 10, guns, diverse weapons, bombs, natural leaders, took over the Mediterranean completely, trained a bit by Ezio, Yusuf is young but a great mentor, and Ezio befriended the factions for control too.

You know what I like about your way if telling the stories? That you sometimes tell them like they are actually historical facts. Its like I'm learning history even though its game lore. Idk i like it thank you

@Daniel-365 1 month ago

I know you wont see this, but it'll be really cool to follow the story of the precursor box and its manuscript

@LittleLucaSky 10 months ago

The Hundred Years’ War would be an awesome setting and I could kinda see it done with a family line like ac3 with Haytham to Connor
Or like a cross between GTA V and ac liberation. So like picking who to play as and they’d have different abilities and skills

@andrewnash6698 10 months ago

The ikki under Naoe did more by themselves than a lot of other brotherhoods managed to do. And they did it whilst having to entirely rebuild their brotherhood.

The story of Syndicate shows that if the Brotherhood in Crawley made real effort to target multiple high up Templars while having a safety net for the infrastructure those Templars ran, they could have swept Starrick before he learned where the Shroud was.
