The Untersberg, located between Salzburg and Berchtesgaden, is considered one of the most mysterious mountains in the Alps. People vanish without a trace, returning months or even years later—claiming that only a few hours have passed for them.

In this documentary-style mystery investigation, we examine the dark legends, enigmatic reports, and alleged discoveries of documents surrounding the Untersberg. What connects the legend of the Sleeping Emperor with missing hikers, unexplored cave systems, strange compass deviations, and accounts of lost time?

The focus is on three hikers from Munich who disappeared on the Untersberg in 1987 and reappeared two months later on the Red Sea. We also examine the case of eleven-year-old Sepp Wimmer, the story of Klaus Angermeier, who reportedly returned more than 16 years after his disappearance, and a mysterious discovery in the Kolowrat Cave in 2022.

The trail leads through six centuries: to old chronicles, regional legends, mountain rescue reports, magnetic anomalies, and a private archive containing 647 cases. The same pattern emerges again and again:

Disappearance.
Impossible return.
Lost time.

Is the Untersberg merely a legendary Alpine mountain? Do its vast cave systems conceal a natural explanation? Or is there more to the stories of time portals, time anomalies, and secret research than meets the eye?

Write in the comments: What do you think is the most likely explanation—legend, coincidence, a natural phenomenon, or an actual anomaly?
