Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to their first NBA championship in 53 years. He won Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Finals MVP, and scored 45 points in the title-clinching game. ESPN still ranked him No. 6.

So let’s talk about the five names ahead of him: Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Dončić, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. I’m making the case for why Brunson belongs in the top-three conversation RIGHT NOW.

And KD and Tracy McGrady’s argument that an MVP carries more weight than a championship? That hits differently when the champion we’re discussing is the man who led the team and won Finals MVP.

Knicks fans, where do you rank Brunson? And if you’ve got him outside the top five, tell me what else he needed to prove.

Welcome to Knicks Deli. We’re not just watching Knicks history. We’re documenting it.
