Every time I am on the Road to the sun it reminds me of that opening scene in the Shining where they’re driving through the mountains. And yes, that scene was shot on that road in Glacier national Park.

Thank you! We're going to Glacier and driving the GTSR in August '26. This really helped us plan for our time on the road. FYI, as someone who shot and edited video at a local TV station for 43 years, this is very well done.

ima east sider. I may not make it this year, and not excited by new parking/shuttle bus/road reservation changes( which still have not been totally finalized) Just got used to the old way. I really think they had it right, Many Glaciers was so much easier to park, I will do my extra early like before. I will be goin g later than usual ( early august) and shorter ( 4 ish nights) but I will try and at least do a hike or two.
