so so so insanely excited for you! also so honored that you’re willing to share this journey with us🫶🏻 also I think Charlotte (Charlie) would be super cute and Rhys (pronounced Reece) has always been one of my personal faves!!! so excited to see you as a mom, you’re doing amazing and you go girl!
your outlook on pregnancy & parenting is so refreshing, as someone who is almost 30 & still on the fence about kids, this gives me hope that i still have time to figure it out, so happy for you guys 🫶🏻
I highly recommend the book "The Continuum Concept" by Jean Liedloff. It was a great read on the attachment process and how human nature is more attuned to raising kids than we are told.
iPad free can be done. You just have to learn your baby. My daughter likes music. I sing to her when she is melting down. It’s hard to not get overstimulated sometimes as it happens. But I promise. The power of your voice to bring them comfort can happen. So excited for you! Also! Yes! Take her to dinner and all the things. They adjust and it’s their normal.
So excited for you :) as someone with an 18 month old, a baby doesn't have to change how you live your life, but a toddler sure does!! Enjoy the potato stages and don't rush to get beyond them
Thank you for answering my question! Thankfully shortly after I asked it my severe nausea went away. Now it’s just light nausea off and on.
I love your name ideas and I’m right there with you on not raising an iPad kid, haha. Oh and I paused and looked at that chart, that’s almost exactly what we did!
Funny quick story: We didn’t really know what name my baby was going to have and he came a few weeks early, and we hadn’t decided and we were in the hospital well into 24 hours after birth and we still didn’t have a name, and my husband was just googling names and he said “Josiah” and I said “fine” and that’s his name. Come to find out, the day I found out I was having a boy I looked for names and I screen shot the named josiah. But I didn’t know this until months after I gave birth. It was always meant to be.
