Disney is trying to do a bizarro world where the Queen's the good one

You know i absolutely love that these people are creatively bankrupt enough to remake classic movies, shows and games to make a quick buck, but also feels they have to change everything about the incredibly successful thing that theyre remaking in the first place, because they feel they know better. And often shocked when their version crashes and burns, like maybe they're a failure for a reason.

How? If you’re not the princess you’re not a leader. At best you’re a faithful knight to the king.

The saddest thing about this shitshow is how everyone only associates Snow white with Disney when it's actually a german Fairytail written by the Grimm brothers in the 18th centuary. Dunno why i'm writting this tbh, maybe its because Disney fkn sucks

I think the icing on the cake is that we already have had at least 3-4 different "independent" Snow Whites with - arguably - better written storylines and characters than Disney, the main copyright holder for the 'yellow red blue dress' princess.
Red Shoes, Snow White and the Huntsman, Mirror Mirror, Once Upon a Time (if you wanna go into TV shows)...there's A LOT better material out there if you want a more "realistic" retelling of a girl left to fend for herself after her father's death with an evil stepmother.

There was a quote from actor Spencer Tracy about this kind of thing.

I haven't been able to find the quote recently, but it is something to the effect of "Actors who talk about their politics publicly should remember what happened to John Wilkes Booth."

On the plus side, Disney is running out of classics to ruin with live action adaptations. The bad news is that Dreamworks is starting to go down the same path.

Ghibli & Ponoc deserve the acclaim Disney has
