A classic that saved Marvel. Wesley is by all means a great actor and the 90s was his kingdom! Blade was such a phenomenon.

RIP Kris Kristofferson.

Without this movie there would be no mcu this is the movie that paved the way and saved marvel

For those who think "There was no black superhero before Black Panther" in movies... there was Blade and Spawn.

Wesley Snipes as Blade is perfect for this role 👌.

Wesley Snipes is such an underrated action star. Legit martial artist equally suited to playing heroes and villains.

"Safety's off, round's already chambered. Silver hollow-point bullets filled with garlic. You aim for the head or the heart. Anything else, its your ass."

1:07 “Wesley Snipes is in it???”

Oh, sweet summer child. I just about died at this comment. 😂😂😂

If you guys didn’t know this,… the matrix took a lot of things from Blade!!! The dark tone, black trench coats, the sun glasses, and especially the bullet dodging!!!

You guys have to remember that every vampire movie is a different universe where the “rules” concerning vampires might not be the same as another movie’s universe. Some use science to explain vampires while others use mysticism or the supernatural.

There is no MCU without Blade. Blade was first before even X-Men.

Over 20 years later, it's still one of the badass movies ever made!

Wesley snipes is a real black belt that’s why he moves look so good

Raves in the 90s used to be "underground" so the part where they go in the back of a meat locker. Accurate for the times 😂 (I'm an old Millennial)

PLEASE watch Blade 2!

So many reactors confuse us for some reason, though I think the movie was pretty clear on what was what. The blue liquid is EDTA. That is the chemical that interacts with the vampire blood and explodes them. It’s not the vampire cure. The vampire cure just has no outward effect except that you no longer have the weaknesses of a vampire. Nor their strengths.

Wesley is one of the greatest and most overlooked action stars ever, plus his acting chops were as good as anyone 💪🏾

Just an FYI, this movie not only came BEFORE The Matrix and Ghost Rider, but this is the movie that opened the doors for Marvel! Everybody talks about Ironman catapulting the MCU and all that, but without this movie there would be none of that. So props to them.

Having said that, and to answer Sho's comment about this movie being "done right"; well, I watched it as a kid when it came out and this movie was at par with its time. I enjoyed it SO much back then because the story was so original and Wesley Snipes was such a big name in the '90s, real life martial artists, awesome fighting style with that flare and arrogance, it was just an awesome movie to watch. HOWEVER! Blade 2 is BY FAR my favorite out of the trilogy and I believe you guys will enjoy it as well

Without this movie, there might not be an MCU. It's actually considered by most as the beginning of successful comic book movies.

Calling someone a "STD" is the ultimate verbal violation. that line still hits different today just as much as it did when I first heard it in 98.😈
