Dyne: "I have no son..."
Vyse: :(
Dyne: "... because they are now my daughter."
Vyse: :)

Referring to ABO shit as "Male Horoscopes" is absolutely perfect

Okay but even as a bit, the Vyrsa lines that Jello and everyone added in strike such a perfect 'unaware transfeminine' chord. Like the ambient "wow, women are so cool" dysphoria that you rationalise early on either as some kind of compassionate feminism, budding sexuality, or sometimes worry is borne out of perversion - because you can clearly pick up that the feeling is different than the sentiments being developed by your male "peers", but can't gage on why (and in some cases have the answers be deliberately hidden from you). When I was ~15 I had to choose a topic for an English class presentation, and I chose 'Women in History' literally because of that weird nebulous "fascination" I couldn't put a finger to but desperately didn't want to let die, so I talked about a cool 17th-century bisexual French fencer/opera singer, the Haudenosaunee government, and (funnily enough) an obscure Chinese pirate queen. I have quite literally used the phrase "women are so cool, I wish I was one" as a post-humous analysis of younger me when talking to friends! Also the end and all the fanart I've seen is adorable. Thank you for the streams, dearly.

I need you to know that Alfonso screaming "No, MY APES" is so surreal yet so in-character

the best part of rewatching these is having to re-learn that Vyrsa has not yet transitioned and hearing "vyse" normally again. It jumpscares me every time, especially the pronouns.

"You have a lot to learn about women, vyce."

and thus, it began

The thing about the Samus' husband story is that a cybernetic anthropomorphic dinosaur would be the one thing that I could imagine Samus marrying.

...I know Jello plays all his characters with a little bit of dorkiness, but I'm not gonna lie, Vyse's entrance and first jump over to the Admiral ship is SO COOL! He's such a cool dude I love it!

Wait the Loqua thing is actually such a smart move, Loquat is a real fruit and is honestly yummy it’s like tangy and sweet at the same time and they’re small but very juicy. They’re also called “Japanese plums”, and i can absolutely believe that people can distill the juice as a base for this drink.
Big BIG win for the localization team is right!!

I am playing through Valkyrie Chronicles and finding out that some random units are the main protags in completely different game is something. It's like finding out that your friends have some kind of secret life's that they never bring up

shout out to chat members DrBones and zoe soundGlave for "uncomfortably femininst" and "egg vyse" respectively

Jello and crew offering us an egg for these most trying of times 🙏 🥚 🙏

Jello: Galcian will attempt a coup later in the game.
No duh we've all seen an evil vizier before. Anything else obvious you want to point out like the sky is orange or trans women are women.

4:09 if I had a nickel for every time a franchise set in a sky world with islands gathered a dedicated fanbase and was then promptly abandoned by its developers, only getting minor references in other games and leaving the entire remaining fanbase with this mentality I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

2:19:45 Jello, you can blame WIll's voice all you want, we all know the REAL reason you like this finely aged gentleman.

i find the galcian parts to be the funniest. from the thousands of feet in the air, to the progressive misogyny. it’s funny as shit.

I'm very glad I was able to remind jello of "King Midas of Racism" thanks Savvy

If I remember correctly, Vyse and Aika are recruitable characters for your battalion in Valkyria Chronicles.

I love that the assigned vibes of the protag and evil guy respectively is “I support womens rights, and womens wrongs” and “manslaughter? Tf is wrong with men’s laughter?”

“It would be really cool to get anything more of this.”

The Kid Icarus fan in me weeps, for I understand.
