Tubular Bind Off In the Round for k1, p1 Ribbing

The tubular bind off is a neat way to finish 1x1, or k1 p1, ribbing. This sewn bind off is essentially the same as the Kitchener stitch and creates a stretchy edge with an invisible transition between the right and wrong side of your knitting.

One of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard for doing Kitchener/ tubular bind off is to memorize the phrase "knit, off, purl; purl, off, knit." That's helped me a TON!

I "shopped" around for helpful videos on the Italian/tubular bind-off and this was the clear winner! It made so much sense and saved my sanity for my first pullover sweater project.

I've always done this bind off without understanding what I was doing, because I always look at the short videos to do it. I finally decided to look at a long video about it, and thank goodness I did it ! Thank you so much for making me discover the stitches behind this method !

Best video I’ve seen to demonstrate this technique. The view os close up, framed well in video and done in a light colored yarn. I also like how you explained why it works.

Best video on tubular bind off ever! It’s my first time doing this technique, and this video is so clear and easy to understand. It really helps to understand what exactly the “tube” part is about. Also, it was easy to know the steps in my head after practicing the first 10 stitches or so. You get into a rhythm and even reach a flow state after that 😅. Thank you so much!! ❤❤❤
