This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2027 Kia EV3 subcompact, electric crossover.
We are on Vancouver Island driving the new Kia EV3 which is priced affordably especially for those who are ready to take the EV plunge but are on a tighter budget.
There are two 2027 Kia EV3 battery sizes, we are driving the EV3 with the larger 81.4 kWh battery. FWD models have up to 517 km/321 miles of range and AWD up to 451 km/280 miles of range. AWD models have 262 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. FWD 201 horsepower and 209 lb-ft of torque.
There is a 2027 Kia EV3 FWD base model with a smaller 58.3 kWh battery with up to 356 km/221 miles of range. It has 201 horsepower and 209 lb-ft of torque.
And the more powerful 2027 Kia EV3 GT model with the larger battery and up to 451 km/280 miles of range. It has 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD.
Kia has included some good standard features like dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, manual front seats, cloth upholstery, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. In the US, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are not standard.
Other available 2027 Kia EV3 features include, a head-up display, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, power front seats, driver seat memory including the mirrors, sunroof and a power liftgate.

At a DC Fast charger, it will charge from 10%-80% in 31 minutes. 29 minutes with the smaller battery. It is equipped with the North American Charging Standard port and has V2L capability.
