Pros: the excellent food, the malls, being able to leave my car unlocked and not having to worry about anyone stealing anything,

Looking to move to Abu Dhabi. I will pay 6k€/month less tax, and have better healthcare (which costs me currently 609€/month taken from my salary with poor service in return). I will not miss the human rights of being drunk, demonstrating or stabbing people, and also not the cold weather. I will only miss the greenery and hiking in the forest, but will enjoy living in a modern place with respectful people around and excellent connections to all fantastic places in the world. And psychologically happy to continue working 12 hours/day, without paying half of my hard earnings for ridiculous government overspending on nonsense.

I have lived in Al Ain for 38 years and now in the UK from the past 8 years. I can relate to your every pros and cons u hv mentioned. One con which u might not feel ever is the lack of permanent residency / naturalisation law. I came to Al Ain when I was 2 years old and left for UK when I was 40. Reason? No permanent residency.

Hello mate im from the uk me and family want to move to abu dhabi in the near future after enjoying a family holiday. Buying a property wont be a issue after selling in the uk but my biggest concern is getting a job. Im self employed as a cab driver and my wife works part time in retail. Any advice would be helpful,  would you say securing  a job job out there first before buying a property or what steps did you follow first. We can put down min 2mil dirhams and get the 10 year golden visa, does that help.
