British dad in Australia travel vlog! We take Ste beyond the tourist trail through the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Maleny rainforest, Aussie wildlife, country pubs, lake swims, fish and chips and Australia’s oldest beer.
In this vlog, my British dad explores the side of Australia most tourists don’t always get to see.
We start the day in Maleny at Mary Cairncross while Kody is out filming a content shoot. Joe grabs a coffee, heads off on the rainforest walk and spots a little swamp wallaby before picking up pies from The Maleny Pie Guy.
Later on, Kody joins back up with the group for a chilled afternoon at Terry’s before we head to Maleny Lane for live music, Thai green curry and a little dance on the dance floor.
The next morning starts at home with breakfast in the garden and a kookaburra sitting right on our washing line, before we head out on a Sunshine Coast hinterland road trip. We visit Pomona, stop at a distillery during Oktoberfest, head to Kin Kin Pub, dance between stops, swim at Boreen Point and finish at the historic Apollonian Hotel.
This vlog is all about showing Ste a different side of Australia, from country towns and rainforest walks to Aussie wildlife, pub culture, fish and chips, lake swims and the little surprises that make living here feel so special.
