Jordan and Katie----those white blooming trees are plums.   nice to see plum creek still has plum trees!

Garth Williams was a phenomenally gifted illustrator!!  His images showed true understanding of the story and its character.  The drawings were such an important part of the books for me as a child.  He also did E.B. White's books (Charlotte's Web, etc). Also vibrant memories!!!

I grew up to watching Little House on the Prairie. This is forever etched in my heart.

Oh my goodness, a sod home! My great grand parents homesteads in Western Nebraska in a sod home, during the 1880 blizzard, they couldn't open their door & was stuck inside a tiny sod house with family days. That brought it so real. Thank you so much for the history of Laura & family.

My mother, 81 yrs old now, remembers visiting her grandparents, still living in a dugout, in Oklahoma, in 1945.

The story of the girls being at home alone waiting on Ma and Pa to get back makes the intro of the show make more sense. I think Country Girls is one of my favorite episodes. I love these and the stories. Thank you 3! 😀

Hee: The reason Pa had to dunk her many times to teach her a lesson is actually because Laura got a kick out of getting dunked.

My mother in law was born in South Dakota in 1920. When she was 4 and her little sister was 2, the family saw a fire in the distance. The parents and older children went to fight it. They left the two youngest behind with instructions to feed the chickens. If the others didn’t return in three days, they were to walk to a neighboring farm.

This was another beautifully filmed and narrated episode about Laura Ingalls.  The landscape is stunning and truly belies the harsh life experienced by the family.  Katie, we were also wondering about the plum trees.  A big thank you Katie and Jordan for another brilliant production.  As always,  it was great to see Jah.  Safe travels.

I love Garth Williams illustrations.  He does a fabulous job with Pa especially..

Grew up in the 70"s and 80's this was by far my favorite show.  I also have read all the books.  Thanks for this video.

Oh wow! I wished the owners had had it dug out again. Amazing

My Mothers side of my Family lived in a Soddy in Kansas!  10 children grew up there.  My great-great-Great Grandmother was a prairie mid-Wife!

This is fantastic! I literally finished rereading On the Banks of Plum Creek just last week. It’s been a favorite book since childhood, so I’m thrilled to see it in living color. Thank you!

Wow how amazing...what an experience... imagine what the night sky would have looked like..and the smells...the super clean water from the creek

You guys make a great team. Good job

12:18  Oh man.  The collapsed dugout would be a great place to have some archaeology done.

The one place I wish you guys had looked at is Concord Wisconsin. That's where pa and ma met. They have relatives still buried there and Grandma Charlotte and her husband are buried nearby in the town of Rome. Just being there where it all started where they met and where ma taught school was so incredible. Thank you for sharing these incredible sights

Thank you for this. The Little House books are my favorite childhood books.

We were there about 1985 there were no official tours, we just wandered around looking at it. In the evening we went to the play outside about walnut grove and the big fire. My kids, about 9 & 10 just loved it!
