The reasons people come up with for never ever removing their bindings..... Takes exactly 2 minutes to take them off of a board and mount them back on or onto a different board... Thanks for emphasizing that regarding waxing! Take 'em off, people!!!

Front foot gets heel drag easier, back foot gets toe drag easier. Placing bindings accordingly by just a mil can make the difference when on a relatively narrow board.

Best advice: There's no rules! Find your own!! Snowboarding used to be punk... At least keep stance punk and mess with it! It's an individual journey that can be quicker with guides like this video here, but it's still YOUR journey. Bring a tool to the mountain. Any adjustment takes minutes but may change your life on snow forever.
Why is everyone so scared of getting something 'wrong'?! It's one of the funnest parts in snowboarding! Enjoy every adjustment on your journey, but only ever change one thing at a time! Once you arrive, the journey is over... ✌❤

I used to ride +30\+9 for carving and +20/0 for pow and now I just ride +25/+6 every day. Always felt most inspired by Craig Kelly and Terje

Guys, thank you so much, i ve buyed the best snowboard ive ever ridden, the korua pencil, and turned my binding from +18 -6 to posi posi, +26+6, oh my god, my old injured knee has no pain again, ive turned to live, no pain ridding is so gratefull... you are awesome.

It’s so funny to listen to this stuff, I’m 36 and since I was 12 I’ve always been fiddling with my stances and angles. I never new that was a thing others cared about lol I think it’s cause I ride by myself a lot and would get an idea in my head. Love a centre stance at +20 and -5. Hard charging, short quick turns and bombing, popping rollers, drops and side hits, jumping through moguls as straight as possible 😎

This is amazing stuff. I have been riding off an on for 15 years, the last 8 with a family and my kids, and I’ve never really thought about any of this. Now I’m sitting in my living adjusting the kids’ and wife’s boards (my new board is arriving Monday.)

After seeing your old video a couple of years ago, here's what I did for my 3-board quiver:

Carving - +30/+15 (20.5 in width)
Directional Twin - +21/-6 (21.5 in width)
Directional - +21/+6 (21.5 in width)

Any pain I had on my knees and lower back (due to mild scoliosis), have disappeared and I'm able to ride until my legs are gassed out for the day.

I cannot thank you enough for sharing your knowledge!

And yes, that wax is awesome!

+15 0 is where it’s at for me for my normal riding. I find myself board line wanting +3 in the back on days when I’m not riding any park, but never take the time to switch it up. Might have to actually give it a shot…

That doa video on the wall was my very first video i ever bought back in 2012 on my first season. Cocards music choice forever changed my life. So crazy to think about and i still have the dvd in perfect condition.

I enjoy these videos. You guys do the best deep dives into this stuff. The stance angle discussion is a funny one for me. I run + 45 front -15 back on every board. So I guess I’m a rule breaker. Industrial accident as well as just coming out of the factory bow legged. Obviously I’m a outlier, but i would encourage everyone to try and add more angle on the front foot. I started in 87 and at the time front foot angles were steeper and tapered back as the years went on. I rarely come across someone who try’s adding 3-12 degrees who doesn’t benefit from it. And in a couple cases it totally transformed riders that had been stuck for years, decades.

My pro tip for centering your boot and binding : Before you go for a ride, Strap in your binding on carpet and do a few heel and toe side lift. If your setup isn't centered, it's much easier to notice it on flat ground than on the snow! Especially riding with +24 or higher posi posi.

I'm one of the first Italian snowboard instructors. The slalom technique, which is dead today, was always loaded in front, almost like butter, "Same technique used in slalom skiing," and the rear was only for fresh snow. But a 5/10 from 35 years ago was a 20/5 today.
I recently rebuilt a 93 Sims Freestyle and tried it with an F2 eliminator Ti.
The border cross board was softer when new than the Sims used for 3 seasons and 40/50 rides a year. 😊

Whenever I change my angles I change my stance width.

The reason is that stance width for your body (felt at the hips) happens at your heels (where your legs connect to your feet!) not the centre of the binding. As you go from say +15/-12 duck to say +27/+9 pozi-pozi, the stance width measured at the ball of your heels will widen by a couple of inches!
