It isn't the language of the latin mass but the level of reverence I observe from the people participating

God Blees Father Ripperger

I would probably primarily attend TLM if the nearest one weren't hours away. However, I really enjoy getting to chant in Latin and Greek in our Novus Ordo. I also still wear a veil to Novus Ordo because it's the same Eucharist. That's the most important part.

I grew up with TLM. My missel had both Latin...and English translation on each page. Age 78. Cradle Catholic. I love it. I also love celebrating Mass in English. God is great and loves us. We should love others as well.

I think the term “celebrity exorcists” wasn’t the right term. Well known might have been a better term. I disagree, while I think there is a potential for abuse or people who are just fascinated by evil. I think these exorcists are good for the church. Especially Father Carlos Martins. His ministry has helped bring tons of people back to the faith and to Christ. It’s important to understand the reality of evil. The quote, “the greatest trick the devil pulled was to convince you he doesn’t exist”. Is very accurate and pertinent in our time of modernity.

I love the tlm, and my parish has a reverent NO mass. I love traditional practices including veiling and modest appropriate dress for Mass.

I am a parishioner of SEAS in Houston and it is very beautiful and reverent. I also agree that although the Latin is beautiful, I find myself reciting in my head the English version of the Lamb of God and Holy Holy Holy prayer as we sing them at Mass. I love reverence is back at our parish.

I saw Fr Dwight Longenecker perform a Novus Ordo Mass w/ the Liturgy of the Eucharist done ad orientam @ Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville SC & it was one of the best Masses I ever attended

I have mobility issues, so I cannot attend mass in my town. I do watch EWTN daily mass. I love that I get to hear Latin and English in the mass. Thank you for this episode. Blessings.

As someone who is interested in cybersecurity, I have a certain appreciation of the likes of Father Ripperger, and Father Martins. Demonic possession can be likened to exploitation of vulnerability. Awareness of spiritual warfare is important. The consumer response is what makes it good or bad.

If the content makes you incline towards the care of Christ, His Church, His mother, and the sacraments He instituted, it is to the consumer's benefit. If the consumer is drawn into obsession to things that the church forbids us to do, or if you try to take this serious thing in your own hands, it can, and will, cause trouble.

Hallow is awesome. So is the Ascension app, Formed, and Amen. Your parish may even pay for Formed and Amen so you get it free.

Oh I don’t know what I would have done without you six years ago. ❤

3:49 YES. There’s some elderly women at my parish who seem to have such disgust when just bringing up saying prayers in Latin, or chant. I was brand new at my parish, and I went to a thing and an elderly man was talking about how he remembers the prayers in Latin and how he misses it, this elderly lady looked to me and defensively said “do you understand Latin?” And I was like “uhhhh I’ve never been taught” and she was so aggressive about it. I was just coming back to the church and it was so weird.

I was looking forward to a review of each side of the question but got a single fellow telling us which side is the right side. Great job.

my wife was from the provinces of the Philippines before she came to Canada about 20 years ago. She was from the Charismatic branch and it is perfectly fine. It is generally held outside of mass and generally outside of Church. These people spend their time praising Jesus outside of mass and then do what we Catholics do all the time as well. I came from a mixed Catholic/Methodist family and fully converted at the age of 46 just a few years ago, though started about 15 years ago though i was more agnostic minded. We got married in Toronto in the one church which does the TLM and is very conservative but moved to our normal parish which is very charismatic. The only thing the Charismatic effects at our paraish is the music tents to be more up beat when they can get away with it. I love the music at our parish and it helps me. Now the priest often tell the music ministry ahead of time when they have to do more somber music or stuff in latin but it is amazing if I had to switch Parishes i would be sad.
