Astronaut, engineer, military pilot. The first Italian woman in space, the first European woman to command the ISS, and the first astronaut ever to graduate from the BSMT.

Yes, Samantha Cristoforetti came to visit us for a SPACE chat.

Born in Milan in 1977, Samantha Cristoforetti was passionate about science and technology from an early age, and decided to dedicate her life to space.

She spent a total of 369 days in Earth orbit aboard the International Space Station (ISS), was the first Italian woman on the European Space Agency's crew, the first European woman to command the International Space Station, and the first person to use TikTok in space, posting a science outreach video.

Her story of talent, sacrifice, and records is a great inspiration for young people as well as a source of pride for Italy.

Enjoy!
