Part 1.
In this video, we'll show you Shanghai, China's largest city and financial center. We're here on a visa-free transit, currently 240 hours, 10 days. Along the way, we'll provide useful information for visiting this fascinating city. Of course, we'll visit interesting places, like the French Quarter with its cozy streets, the Bund with its colonial-style buildings, the Pudong district with its skyscrapers, the 632-meter-tall Shanghai Tower, and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Of course, there will be plenty of local food, and that's not all.
Our main goal is a visa-free cruise to Japan, and the opportunity to spend a full 240 hours in China before traveling to a third country gave us the opportunity to have a wonderful time in Shanghai and the surrounding area.

Maps.me – Shanghai Map (download before arrival) (10 free regional maps).
Alipay – China's payment system (you need to download and verify it before arriving in China, and top up your account)
A TRANSLATOR – a must!!! It's best if it works offline (download the Chinese language version), but if you have a working internet connection, online translators will do, the main thing is to have them!
Google Translate is a great option.
E-SIM – we bought it from trip.com (payment in rubles from Russian cards. To purchase, you need to change the language to English and leave the payment in rubles. Activation requires a working internet connection. We activated it from Moscow, and it started working in China).
Hotels – trip.com (payment by Russian cards in rubles, Russian-language interface)
Tips:
1. Be sure to bring a pen to complete the declaration forms.
2. After exiting the plane, go to passport control as quickly as possible to complete the declaration forms, as there may be lines.
3. If you don't have a visa obtained in advance, you don't need to fill out the declaration forms. These are readily available and are gray and white, A4-sized, but narrow and foldable. You need to pick up a visa-free transit declaration form at the counter or ask the staff for one. This permit allows temporary entry without a visa to enter the city. These forms are blue and white, unfolded (more square).
4. You don't need to complete a health declaration form; no one checks it upon arrival/departure to China.
