This soft and airy air fryer apple cake is made with caramelized apples, cinnamon and a simple fluffy batter. The apples become buttery and sweet, while the cake turns golden and melts in your mouth.
Ingredients
🍎 250 g (8.8 oz) sweet apples
🌿 Cinnamon
🍬 20 g (0.7 oz) sugar
🧈 60 g (2.1 oz) butter
🥚 4 eggs
🧂 3 g (0.1 oz) salt
🍬 200 g (7 oz) sugar
🌾 200 g (7 oz) flour
🍚 Powdered sugar

Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
Cut the apples into pieces and spread 250 g (8.8 oz) evenly over the parchment. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 20 g (0.7 oz) sugar, then mix.
Add 60 g (2.1 oz) cubed butter over the apples.
Cook the apples in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 170°C / 340°F.
For the batter, crack 4 eggs into a deep bowl. Add 3 g salt and whisk.
Add 200 g sugar and beat with a mixer for 5–7 minutes until light and fluffy.
Sift in 200 g flour and gently fold it into the mixture with a silicone spatula, working from the bottom upward. The batter should be airy and smooth.
Pour the batter over the baked apples.
Cook for 25 minutes at 160°C / 320°F.
If your air fryer has only one heating element on top, carefully flip the cake and cook the other side for another 10 minutes at 175°C / 350°F.
Remove the finished apple cake from the air fryer, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
