I loathe abused CW and TWs. Thank you for talking about it. It feels like mockery, especially when its made out to be an advertisement. We need a discussion about what trigger and content warnings are for. At this point they've gotten ridiculous and it feels increasingly ableist towards people like me that genuinely need them to regulate how much I can deal with at once. It doesn't mean I won't engage with the work at all, but it does mean I might take it more slowly. But when people mock triggers and use them for marketing, and start marketing language around kinks it disgusts me. BTW, TWs and CWs for people who never encountered the trauma before—stop saying that all of the books with any triggers should be banned—as a person with genuine trauma I'm also against that. I said this on another review of this book, but I am a spider enthusiast. I LOVE spiders, tarantulas included. Tarantulas are incredibly intelligent and interesting spiders. However there are a billion different spiders and most of them would make cooler names than Tarantula! It is just so cartoonishly goofy to choose that spider. Tarantulas aren't even the scariest or most deadly spiders on earth. Why that? Why not any other type of spider??? JASMINE DO YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO GOOGLE? DO YOU?
