Wide leg trousers are one of the most forgiving silhouettes available after sixty, and also one of the easiest to get quietly wrong in ways that never show up in a still photo. In this one I walk through the seven fit problems I see constantly, a hem that drags or pools, a hem cut too short, a waist that is technically the right size but poorly proportioned to your height, a shoe that gets lost under the fabric, fabric that stands away from the body instead of moving with it, pairing wide leg trousers with an equally voluminous top, and not accounting for how they photograph and move differently than they look on a hanger.
