There’s clearly a story behind this video and it should be shared. It’s not just them singing a song. This is Karinya Chen. A 15 year old girl who had battled terminal bone cancer for 5 years. She was at “Hospice Austin” and had tickets to go see a Florence and the Machine concert. She couldn’t due to health concerns. But the hospice reached out to Florence and was able to explain the situation and Florence came to sing just to her. With that being said this day was clearly something very special and since unfortunately Karinya has passed away. These acts of kindness are what makes this world so nice to be in and makes us realize how precious not only life is but how important something as simple as music can be to us in times of need.
15 years old. She only had 15 years to experience life and the last 5 years of her life were suffering from bone cancer. She’s only a child bless her. It’s really good to see this British singer who came over to do a concert take some time out of her busy schedule and bring the concert to one of her fans. God bless you Karina. Rest easy. Thank you Florence.
Music is a universal language that transcends culture, race, religion and breaks the barriers between us. It is something we all can feel and understand and connect to. Through it we find a common ground where we can be united in hope, love and harmony with one another. This intimate performance might just be the very best example of that.
For 5 minutes Karinya was pain free, worry free, and a fan listening to her fav artist; no cancer, no new meds, no side effects, not a care in the world. Those 5 minutes must’ve been the best 5 minutes she had in a long time. Karinya still touching lives in 2026. Rest in eternal peace ❤️
Not sure how this hit my algorithm in 2025 but here I sit a 57 year old man with tears in my eyes watching a beautiful human being full of empathy for someone they don’t even know. Simply amazing!
