Is the iPhone 15 Pro still worth buying in 2026? After using it for more than two years and now daily driving an iPhone 16 Pro, I wanted to share my honest experience. I explain why I believe the iPhone 15 Pro remains one of the smartest iPhone purchases you can make today, and why chasing the latest specs isn't always the best decision. From design and battery life to cameras, performance, and real-world usability, here's what it's actually like to live with the iPhone 15 Pro in 2026.

I love my 15 Pro, it’s a beast and it’s currently running iOS 27 beta like butter. 💯

I bought a new 15 a few months ago. I agree with everything you say, right down to getting hot a few times but it does everything without complaint and not too big or heavy. Camera difference between 15 and coming 18 is beyond the average user being able to leverage the new features. This one is the sweet spot. It down fall will only be Apple stopping to support it .

Honestly we just decided to stop buying new iPhones every year. I’d buy a new one all excited and then restore from my old one and the only difference that made it feel new was the new case and stronger battery. Sometimes a new feature comes out like touch ID or Face ID that requires an upgrade but honestly it just makes sense to use these devices for as long as possible.

I loved the 14 Pro when it was released but I ended up upgradin to the 15 Pro and upgraded to 16 Pro Max then went to 17 Pro and I ended up goin back to my 15 Pro I absolutely hate the camera control button on the 16 PM and 17 Pro every time I took the phone out my pocket I kept accidentally pressing it so that’s the main reason I went back to my 15 Pro and I don’t regret my decision

I purchased my 15 pro max in October 2023, the month after it debuted. I got it along with an Apple Watch Ultra 2 (traded in an iPhone 14 and Apple Watch 7). Last week (after 2.5 years) the phone notified me that the battery was at 79% and needed service. I was in Anchorage at the time and took it to the Apple Store on 5th. The replaced the battery for $99 (no sales tax). Took about 90 minutes. I’ve been very pleased with the phone’s performance. I’ll keep it for at least another couple years, until the battery degrades again.
