Hendrix was a once-in a lifetime phenomenon. A virtuoso and genius who worked hard at his craft, bringing such incredible innovations to the music scene.
I'm a highest level guitarist and even with today's so called advance gymnastics on the guitar "Jimi Hendrix is Still Kicking All Your Asses from the Grave hah!!"
couldn't read music, played A right hand Strat upside down and left-handed, never played the same thing twice, but somehow his ear, timing and presence all came together, that talent is not taught,,, it comes from the inside, or outer space, we'll never know
Even on his bad days he's still better than everyone else 😮 , Remember Jimi had zero sleep 😴 during this Time and was literally performing every day and night across the EU and UK 😢 as many have said if he had got a few months off and rested he would be alive today
See even when he plays these long improv solos it never feels like he’s trying to impress anyone or show you how fast he can play, just doing fast runs that are mostly muscle memory like we do these days. He was still deep into trying to craft a melody, even if it didn’t always sound pretty or musical he was expressing himself in such an artistic way, not with arpeggios or scales but just sonic paintings in a way, just manipulating the sound till it was what he was trying to say. 50 years after his death he’s still absolutely fascinating to listen to
