You know, your content really is a breath of fresh air in the realm of single player grand strategy videos. I really like the narrative aspect that you play up, and I even started thinking more narrativly in my own single player games. I always enjoyed your character in the Bokoen games, and am happy to see you with your own youtube channel, making your own videos.

0:16 wait a minute, this is not The Enforcer Guy

Remember that time Sun Fo lost money on a Mahjong game, money meant to pay an army’s salary that Sun Yat Sen gave him? And Sun Yat Sen sent Hanmin to ask Fo where the money was, and Sun Fo beat the elderly Hanmin in anger?

Another day, another Chinese run in hoi4

Honestly that ending would be an epic cold war setup. Imagine somehow saving the british empire from what little it has in Africa (i thino those red chunks on the west coast are monarchist britain, but I could just be blind.) France or germany seem a bit more feasible. Maybe Portugal. Honestly though i think the German remnants have the best shot, when it comes to the land and resources they have.

1:26 To be fair and a bit more specific, the northerners didn't want to put Pyui back (leaders like Wu Peifu were committed republicans), but it was a German demand as a condition for support to the Zhili, support they really needed at the time. The restoration is all symbolic anyway and nobody cares

Non-lore-wise, it's arguably just a leftover from old KR

35:59 lol I imagine Mongolia become the place to exiled dissidents from both Russian and china, and the royalist for both countries are plotting their revenge with baron sternburg’s permission

Just little bit Chinese word teaching:

Liang Guang =兩廣=Guang Dong+Guang Xi(廣東+廣西)， 兩=two

Guang Dong=廣東，東=East
Guang Xi =廣西，西=west

It may be easier for you to understand the situation after knowing the word meaning😂

11:40 that quote goes hard

It seems like there are 2 types of democracy
One, get bogged in politics, internal struggle and fails to answer calls of the time
Another, manifests destiny to anyone unfortunate enough to be nearby

28:27 If im not wrong, when Japan do the focus that makes them annex the Legation Cities/Shanghai, there will be a voting event where major countries can vote whether or not the Japanese can annex Shanghai, and if you decide to vote against it and protect Shanghai, Japan wouldn't be able to annex it and sometime later there will be an event where you can have Shanghai as your Puppet. Although im not too sure about this explanation, but this is all i remember from my Austrian Playthrough where i was able to get Shanghai as my Puppet

4:32 didn't know that guy from college was actually the girl from college
