levi's 360 compass technique is a total game changer, that camera height adjustment is so simple but makes such a huge difference, can't wait to try these tips out with my a1

As someone who has only had a 360 camera for a couple of weeks, this video is a trove of information thank you very much.

New subscriber from London here. I’ve just purchased my Inst360 X6. This was so helpful.

Finally, a video that actually helps with the placement of the 360 camera. Thanks for not spending 3 min describing how we put the battery and sd card in.

I was just thinking about making a tutorial video on a list of shots to try (and techniques to build on), but man you did such a great job covering this! The 360 Compass is a fantastic visual to help people understand how to position the camera!

Dude, welcome back. I can't tell you enough how much I've miss your videos.

I feel like this update is a result of your session from NAB.

Just want to say, from that session I am going way harder on my 360 stuff.

@pasky7777 3 months ago

it helps to have good grip strength fellas. you see how easy he moves the giant extended stick? just impressive.

These techniques are great if you hold the selfie stick. I struggle because I’m biking on a trail and I’m trying to get unique 360 shots with the camera mounted on my bike. I find the camera the camera bounces too much.

Thank you. These types of tips are helpful. I’m newer with the 360 and it’s great to hear options so I’m not just guessing on what could be a good angle and such!

Hi Levi, I just got my first 360° video camera, the Insta360 X6. I think it's amazing. This video was very helpful, and I'll take your advice to heart.
As you rightly say, even with a 360° camera, you need to think about framing while shooting, so that the footage is "almost ready" for post-production.
The 360° compass technique is an exceptional visual tool for understanding how to position the camera and how to move it while shooting.
Greetings from Italy! 🗺🌍

Total newbie here, but I'm pretty stoked to get this camera and start learning. Thanks for the great info.

Some great info and tips as always Levi! I need to be more intentional with getting shots. I often use my x4 when I want to be more present in the moment but also capture things like when I’m hiking with my kid. But then I get a bit overwhelmed going back through the footage. I’m definitely going to try some of these things on my next little adventure.
