happy valentine's day everyone <3

"they have forever to improve, but they choose the present to do so"

bro, you fucking gave me tears, that shit was beautiful wtf man

Marceline : You scared me!
Princess Bubblegum : What?
Marceline : Even back when we weren't talking, I was so afraid something bad would happen to you, and I wouldn't be there to protect you, and... I don't wanna lose you again.

16:53 "She becomes a more relaxed leader" - a crowned PB scales menacingly on top of a pile of melting bodies surrounded by fire

For both PB and Marcy it’s a story of connection. Both of them wanted connections more then anything else. But because of everything that went down with Uncle Gumball, PB only saw connections under her strict conditions. She became colder and controlling.  Meanwhile with Marcy because of everything with her mother, Hunsen and Simon she saw connections as something that hurts her. So she became afraid of opening herself up and even more afraid of losing what she has. Their first relationship was doomed to fail because hadn’t learned what eachother needed to be for eachother. Bonnie to be more attentive and considerate. Marceline getting past her insecurity and being more empathetic.

Bubbline is one if my favorite examples of how some couples really just need time apart to grow enough and become better people on their own, before eventually finding their way back to each other. And although neither characters are perfect by the end, they’ve both matured enough to make it work.

This relationship was just beautifully written and will always be one of my favorites ❤

The absolute most infuriating part of the discourse around Adventure Time when it ended was people complaining about PB and Marcy being together.
"Why did they force them to be in a gay relationship at the last minute grrr this ruins the show grrrr!!!"
Like istg these people just didn't watch the show they built up to that kiss for 7 god damn years 💀💀💀💀

Bubbling was so real and I loved their dynamic every step of the way

I always appreciated how real these type of relationships felt in adventure time. W video as always Sage ❤️

I love how so much of marciline's honesty comes through her songs.

they could never make me hate u PB

everything stays always gets me, just the melody hits so hard.

when ur card declines at therapy so they bring up marceline and bubblegum

Paradoxically, Bubblegum and Marceline are both complete opposites and at the same time the exact same.

“We want more complex female characters” You guys couldn’t even handle Pb!!!!!

Also thank u for actually talking about pb ❤ most ppl just are like “she’s evil!!” Like be fr

Adventure Time is such a great show

wow you summarized bubbline so perfectly. it was beautiful. i wish more of the fanbase understood their nuances

I really appreciate the nuanced approach to PB's character!! So much content just tears her apart.

"You DILWEEDS!!"

sage, this was absolutely beautiful. you described why i love bubbline in words i never could. you also understand both of their characters so well, and that's so refreshing to hear. this video even made me tear up a couple times, but in a good way :) thank you so much for this beautiful video! i loved it so much
