Used to cross out of Canada into Idaho at Kings Gate. Beautiful country in Northern Idaho.

Not bad for an A.I. production.  You hit some of the high points in history and geology.  I always thought I was unique & special, being born & raised in Idaho.  Our nearest neighbors were 1/4 mile away in either direction.  Three houses now sit upon what was once my dad's farm.  I worked at the Craters of the Moon Nat'l Momument one summer, shortly after the astronauts trained there.  I loved exploring the caves made of lava tubes.  My folks said the old gem & silver mines were too unstable and dangerous to go into and explore so we never went there.  Still, I had many an adventure in the mountains, rivers, forests, canyons and deserts of Idaho.  It was a great place to grow up.  I had a great Idaho History teacher in 4th grade who inspired a love of history, sparse as it was.
This is a pretty sanitized, short overview.  Travelers can find lots of things of interest if they get off the interstate & travel the back roads and little towns here and there.  The part you missed all had to do with the early settlers: who they were, their religion, culture and character of the people.  That's where the real history and value is found, but you almost would have to have lived there to see it.  Yes, nobody important lives in Idaho to this very day because the locals treasure what they enjoy so much that they don't want to advertise it.  Too many people would ruin what they still have.
