Have you used the S340 and if so, what do you think?

I don't need 24/7 recording either. Just events: people, animals, triggers.

I found the solar shield was good if you want it on minimum power management with short recorded clips. If you want longer recordings I had to turn mine into a wired cam to support the power need.

Was happy until it stopped connecting to wifi  just died, 4 weeks before the warranty is up, they are sending a new unit once they receive mine back.  Will see how long it lasts

I have the S3 Pro system and the AI with facial recognition does not work for notifications.  I still get notifications for all "known" people which is annoying.

I have 2 of these and both stopped the ability to pan or use the zoom.  One of them had to be replaced because it wouldn't stop recording and  I tried all of the troubleshooting I could find.  Costco did replace it so no harm other than the hassle involved.  But the new camera also stopped panning and won't zoom.  Great picture and they do work when recording.  That is until just recently when my whole eufy system stopped allowing playback.  I have two other eufy cameras and the homebase.  I will be taking all of the cameras down and doing a complete re install to hopefully fix it.  Yes I tried the sync buttons and nothing.  So eufy is not trouble free but so many other products tend to be disappointing also that I try to keep a sense of humor.

I have had two of these for 16 months. Both on south facing walls so plenty of daylight and sunshine as a result until recently never had to take them down. I have to say at this point I’m really happy with the performance.
However more recently both show on the app that the solar panels are not charging. Wait for it, most the time they are charging but the app says they are not. Simple unplug the panel from the camera and plug back which for a day or so the app appears to be happy then back to the not charging warnings again.
Back to today, one camera not charging at all so had to take it down to charge. I noticed that the image from the camera is hazy even though the lens is clean and there is significant signs of the solar panel wearing around the edges, I’m assuming weather related.
On the basis of cost over lifespan I definitely wouldn’t buy this again. Though there are some significant eufy solar camera upgrades from model I’d probably look at those as I’m all in running all my security on eufy platform using 2 x Homebase S380’s. The new 4K C37 looks a better option and is currently on offer.
However if you can afford it the E52 is probably as good as it gets currently.

Can you scroll back on a timeline with these? I want to upgrade from my nest cams, but i like i can scroll back all night incase i didnt get a notification or if its constantly giving notifications from wind or rain.

I can not set up. It won't connect wifi..

I’ve had mine two weeks and wish I’d seen this video before hand and read the reviews, I had a scaffolding truck drive right up to the camera and reverse back then drive away, never even recorded any of it, and that has happened on numerous occasions, and a few days where there has been no activity at all, but clearly was ! Absolute rubbish!

Can you use on the Google n MS Edge to view with changing any setting and will it  constantly stay on, also can I view more than 4 cameras at a time w/o  disconnection.

Question Simon - appreciate the app can be installed on 2 phones, mine & my wife's, but do you know if alerts will be sent to both phones simultaneously / can both phones display the camera view simultaneously / can both phones control the pan or zoom the lens simultaneously? Thanks.

All my cameras are Eufy all 10 cams indoor, out door solars and others,I  do have 2 solar same as this. One was burned.

I have six of these cameras on my property.  I can honestly  say they last about two years.  I just took two more down, one will not charge and the other disconnects from wifi when I plug in the solar panel.  I'm through with the S340.  I have dealt with customer service over the years and it is pretty good once you can get a hold of them.

I would love to hear a 10 year review, 2 years is short time when it comes to a camera out in the elements. I have the old Arlo 2 system and it's been amazing over 9 years. Solar panels have glass so they are not sun affected.

My S340 died after 2 years.

I don’t understand why anyone would pay £180.00 for a camera. I’ve had numerous cameras costing a fraction of£25.00 over the years which have similar features :360 views and zoom etc also detect small animals like a mouse which trigger the recording without fail.

It don't record long enough during a event....it records about 30 seconds then you miss the rest

will this camera detect mice at night?

Night vision?
