Every Sonic the Hedgehog Game Ranked

TonySonic

At last, the moment has come for the grand finale of The Year of Sonic. Levels, Bosses, Final Bosses, Villains, Music, Humans, and Heroes have all been ranked and talked about. Now it’s time for the games themselves to have their turn. The games have always been a point of contention for many so everyone’s ranking is going to be different. My ranking is my opinion, and your ranking is yours. Let’s not fight over who’s right or wrong and just finish with talking about the Sonic games we love and loathe.

Thank you all for joining me for The Year of Sonic. Here's to 2023 and a bright future for all of us!

@Supremetoaster3621 2 years ago

though i disagree with a few things the fact that you use logic and points to why you dislike/like it instead of blindly hating/fanboying stuff you place you instantly get kudos for having real arguments and points, subscribed

"You could an entire movie looking like this!"
Don't do that.
Don't give me hope.

This list is absolutely NOTHING like mine, but I love seeing a different list and a brand new perspective. I get to see all the games I love no matter where you rank them aswell, so this was a fun vid!

To me the closest thing we’ve ever gotten to Sonic Adventure 3 was Sonic 06 and we all know how that turned out.

When Nathaniel Bandy did this earlier in 2022, he included double the games you did. And it took longer than his Ranking every Mario game video despite covering less games.

This guy was quite angry quite often throughout the video.

I am hyped for this. Sadly I won’t make it to the premiere but I will absolutely see it afterwards

I have immense respect for charriii and you tonysonic for both of you having the patience to suffer through sonic free riders and the kinect

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO SINCE NATHANIEL BANDY'S VIDEO DROPPED and I'm JUST GETTING HAPPIER AND HAPPIER!
Thanks @TonySonic for this! 👍
I'm still waiting for me but, take as much time as you can because I won't disturb anything you're doing AT ALL!

I’m glad that Forces wasn’t hated on too hard, because it was my favorite 3D Sonic game that I had currently played until I played both Generations and Frontiers. I can understand all of your rankings for these games that we all know and love/hate.

@ClippyClippert 1 year ago

you can say that adventure 1 and 2 aren’t the best in the series sure but having them below forces is wild, I’m not someone who hates forces but even then it’s not that good

@theguywhoonlycomments8856 3 years ago

It's great see a franchise that I (and many others) grew up with expand year by year, and it's only going to expand even more by the end of this year.

BTW: Happy new year!

@chadpeterson5698 3 years ago

This will probably make the Final Boss ranking look small by comparison but trust me I’ll still watch it

"adventure fans are nostalgia blind" I think people who like unleashed this much need to really self reflect when they say that kinda thing....

@wolef3344 2 years ago

This is easily the most unique and unpredictable ranking of sonic games I've ever seen. I found my jaw dropping on opinions that I agree with, which is just weird. Still, its nice not being able to generally predict what will be where in these types of videos.

@OfficialSilverThunder710 1 year ago

Frankly the only reason I think people truly hate ‘06 is the broken physics. I’ve heard Project 06 is making this game actually fun

@bryanblueblurhedgehog8899 3 years ago

45:33 that's not what Lizuka said. He said that they have no plans for SA3 just yet which is understandable because the fact if we're getting next Sonic game than just SA3 it's gonna be like new adventure game style which I don't think if SA3 is going to be. We'll have to wait and see until if they start developing at next 5 years. Like it or not, it's still happening all thanks for the positive reviews of Sonic Frontiers.

@csth12 3 years ago

I'm glad that you finally got your thoughts out there. While Sonic isn't my favorite franchise, it's still one that I can't look over. I genuinely don't know where I'd be if I never a certain old friend who got me interested in the series. Sure, I don't see this person anymore, but that doesn't make me lose any interest. I look forward to your future content, whatever it may be, and I'll try to comment on every video if I can. While I disagree with many of your picks, this video was still very enjoyable. :D

I'm stoked your gonna do more non sonic stuff man. If you reviewed something like tactics ogre or smth that would be cool too. Thanks for a awesome new years vid
