Do you know someone who overspends?

I know a guy who bought 5 lava lamps. 5!

Yes, spending money is fun. You know what else is fun?

Having a roof over your head when you're 70.

Treating yourself can be a hike, a nap, or a good library book. It doesn't have to involve spending money.

This problem goes much deeper than being financially irresponsible. There is something deep inside that is messed up when people spend like this.

My grandmother was told her heart condition would kill her in her 40s, she's 103. Luckily she saved and invested and completely supports herself.

My dad passed away the day after he retired. I am still sad that he never got the rest he deserved. But I am so grateful that he left money behind so that my mom was taken care of.

My treat to myself is having money in my wallet and don't owe anybody except rent and utilities.

I think some people just can’t emotionally handle being bored for any second of the day.

How I stay dedicated to saving money is pretending I am a dragon and grifters/influencers are thieves that are trying to steal my hard-collected hoard of valuables.

I spend weeks contemplating buying the smallest thing, and most of the time I end on "No, don't want it".

I just spent $1,200 to get my 2014 car fixed...didn't spend $35,000 on a new car.

I get a way bigger dopamine hit from seeing my savings grow than I do from buying stuff that I don't need and will hardly use.

I've got clothes that are older than many of the people in this video.😂

A huge problem is that money is digital. You don’t see it leave your wallet anymore.

A friend of mine posted a Go Fund Me to pay for medical costs and car repairs. The next time I saw her she had Starbucks and wanted to go shopping. Like GIRL

I wanted to buy some shirts today, but instead I put that money towards my student loans. I see this as a small win. I don't need more clothes, I need to pay my debt. I love your videos, they really help me focus on what matters :)

You know what hypes me up. Knowing I can afford expensive stuff and charge it but having the discipline to control myself and not ruin my families life. So invigorating
