Today I'm introducing you to a lovely friend I met in Bali. 🇮🇩🤍
She's Indonesian but speaks Turkish and lived in Turkey for two years. She even wrote a thesis on the Istanbul Convention while she was in university.
We started the day with a SUP ride at sunrise in Sanur. Afterwards, we sat and talked about Turkey. She told us how she imagined Turkey before coming here, what people in Indonesia thought about Turkey, and how her opinions changed after arriving.
We also explored Sanur together, a quieter, slower, and more "retirement town" of Bali.
In short, today was a bit of Bali, a bit of Türkiye, and lots of conversation. 🫶🏻
