It's a hobby that may pay for itself. The most reasonable yet optimistic outlook one can have.

Spoiler: Its because vtubers aren't content creators. A good chunk of people get a model and they'll get a following by streaming on Twitch where Twitch has no discoverability. You need to be both a streamer and a creator on other platforms like YouTube or TikTok. Editing Streams into clips or long form vids is the best way to grow. The Vtuber model won't get you a following but being a creator will.

It's crazy to me that people still try to grow on twitch. Most streamers I see outright tell you to only stream on twitch to diversify your income, but to also do content on platforms that can recommend you to potential viewers.

I've started becoming a Vtuber recently, but the problem with that is that I have posted gacha animations beforehand so my current audience wouldn't really be interested in my Vtuber side

"If the deck is this stacked against you, you should make your own cards" is such a good fkn quote

I've always found it funny how people spend so much money on these things, thinking they'll instantly make it big.
I made my model myself, and it barely works. I put about zero effort into my model debut stream. Why would I spends so much money for my one viewer?
I've mostly taken a, if it happens it happens, kind of approach. I started this because I'm lonely. I just want a few people to talk to.

Won't lie, I've debated the idea of starting a stream and using a vtuber model. This was quite informative. Secondly, I love that you didn't sit there and lie to everyone just to get views
💜💜💜. As someone who honestly just want to make the world that tiny bit better, I really really appreciate videos like this. So, even if no one else says it. Thank you.

This is why I multistream to twitch and youtube with a $15 dollar model. If it works out it works out just have fun with it.

I started with joining a Vtuber community and editing video memes about them. They liked it so much, they asked me to edit shorts. I then decided I wanted to be an editor. I started streaming games with other small streamers and it was so much fun, I ordered my model. I'm affiliate and making my money back.

💜💜💜ironic how this is my introduction to your channel, when the intention of his video is supposed to be a tutorial for how new vtubers introduce and maintain themselves long term. I’ll be subbed from now on, so I hope the algorithm picks up more of your content to share with me💜

@Lesli_lesya_vtuber 5 months ago

I want to become a vtuber in order to find those who understand me and enjoy everything with me, but I don't have everything I need for streaming, so I manage with one phone and record videos. maybe there won't be streams for a long time, but I will have an audience that I communicate with and we love each other. What I'm doing now makes me happy and that's the main thing ❤

@nmmeswey3584 6 months ago

It seems that most vtubers fail for the same reasons most youtubers and other CC's fail, it makes sense now that you say it but I hadn't thought of that before

I love how such videos like yours can always cheer up my thoughts of giving up, Right now its still only a hobby for me but i treat it like I live off it and I have to keep reminding myself to lower my expectations
