Robin and I shared recovery from drugs and alcohol. He had a very special place in my heart. A friend of mine was in a treatment center at the same time he was and was his roommate. At first all the guys were starstruck, but very soon he was just one of them. My friend told me he was the kindest most generous and authentic person he'd ever met. He was profound. His shares in group were deep and spot on. And he was brilliant. I too cried when he died and I tear up as I write this so many years later.
I remember the first time ever seeing Robin as Mork on Happy Days. I loved him watched Mork and Mindy because of him and never missed a movie with him in it. There has never been anyone that could make me laugh the way he could. God got one of the Best but also with him being gone people have forgotten how to laugh . RIP Robin
As a person living with depression, I remember crying when I learned of his passing. My thought was if he can't find help, what hope is there for the rest of us? He was such a true gem. I will always miss him.
He was in my AA group in San Francisco and he was the not only the funniest but the nicest kindest person one could have the pleasure of meeting. He suffered in a lot of silence and I wish he would have let more people know what was going on so he wouldn't have taken his own life.. sad
