🔥 When a Kathar fleet attacks a convoy of defenseless merchantmen, they believe they've sent yet another message of terror. But this time, the message hasn't been received by whoever they imagined.
đź“– Seven slow, unarmed ships, a secondary trade corridor, no escorts. Commander Veric orders fire, destroys the convoy, and returns home convinced he's just taught them the usual territorial lesson. But he doesn't know what those ships were carrying, he doesn't know who they were registered to, and he doesn't know that a species ignored for two hundred years is about to respond in a way no galactic treaty ever anticipated.
