Ashton really doesn’t get enough recognition. He’s literally the glue that really pushed the band to become a real band. I remember them saying how he was the one telling the other boys to stop messing around and start actually working together for the band. He’s the one we have to thank for them going worldwide.

it's insane to see how the group chemistry has stayed so strong after 10 years. i feel like it's rare for bands to still like each other after being all up in each others business for that long. this is so fuckin wholesome

Mikey's soft, "we didn't need to" 🥺🥺🥺 in response to Ashton saying they didn't know him before asking him to join 😭😭😭

"Yall were a good band......to some extent" yet another moment of no one hating 5sos more than 5sos

@mindy5027 4 years ago

I can't believe they still had the message Michael sent to Ashton about joining the band

I appreciate how much work you've put into this 10 years celebration, the show. It's just amazing! I'm so happy to be a part of this journey with you. Love you ❤

We all know the classic age-old tale of Ashton getting a creepy facebook message from Michael about the Annandale gig, but I'm loving this whole narrated backstory with details! I had no idea that Liz was Ashton's maths teacher (thats so funny hahaaha), or that you guys (or at least Michael and Luke) had a gig before THE gig. I love you guys so much and I'm so grateful for the journey you've taken the whole 5SOSFam on with this podcast!

I can't believe they didn't comment on Luke's obsession over penguins

@theothersam8916 4 years ago

did a quick google on the distance ashton rode his bike for this rehearsal, about 14 miles or over 20km, crazy

@quasalor1480 4 years ago

Michael: Terrible ideas all around, but that's why you love me, of course.
Calum: No, it's not, I fucking shred bass now.
Ashton: I had my drumsticks with me, like a true legend.
Luke: I hit the big-time.

We do stan confident kings (another commenter mentioned that about Cal) even if some of those statements are tongue-in-cheek.
