There is probably a bigger reason George Harrison is on screen in The Life of Brian. According to John Cleese, when no one would finance Monty Python and the Holy Grail, George Harrison stepped up and covered the entire cost of the movie. When they asked him why he was willing to help out his response was ""I want to see the movie".

007 isn't the only special cameo in that movie. Simon Pegg now has the honor of not only being in "Star Trek" (Scotty in the JJ Abrams movies) but played the alien who traded salvage for food on Jakku. And there's a rumor that Princes Harry and William were stormtroopers as well, in either the prequels or the latest trilogy.

You forgot one. In A Very Brady Sequel, Gary Cole made a cameo other than Mike Brady. When Jan walks up to the concierge in the hotel lobby, A man walks in front of her telling Justin to cool his jets. That is Gary Cole in the Hawaiian shirt, black shorts and sunglasses.
