He was hyperventilating on his stool for 5 mins after the fight stopped and he left on a stretcher. Fighters gas all the time; how many of them leave on a stretcher?

He was getting hit hard to the body when he winced ....then he was wincing in corner the same way. Panic attack? Body attack is more likely.

He was never ready for this fight.

He was hurt by body shots in rd 8, you see him grimace on every body shot.

body shots rocked his soul.. that's not panic that's pain...

He should have just ask him can you continue/ do you want to continue if you don't get an answer, just stop it. This was a failure from his whole team

Funny how everybody is just talking about kid and nobody is giving credit to Filip. Maybe kid is just hurting from punches he received. He wouldn't end up in hospital just because he was tired.

Itauma was supremely gassed to me not an actual panic attack. He was making that face throughout when trying to get air. Davison failed to train his endurance but Itauma didnt follow anything that he or the corner was telling him to do. He has no clue that experienced fighter at the highest level could take his punches...until Hrgovic. His immaturity combined with all the yes men around him created what happened to him. The worst type of loss possible

This is not a panic attack, it is extreme exhaustion, that you can not recover from in a minute.

Naw bro. What your seeing is extreme exhaustion. He was already tired and continued pushing himself. He was not in championship shape.

His corner was giving him a bunch of mixed messages. No wonder he didn't know what to do in the latter rounds. He definitely needs a new team.

You've said DAZN 'leaked' the tape which seems like clickbait, unless a DAZN insider did so without authority? Poor Moses does look in a right 2 & 8 there, but he is 21, I reckon he was just genuinely, totally wiped out by his own misguided efforts, rather than having a panic attack. He has time to fix all this, though he might be a guy who never has a great engine, we'll see.

Dude he is hyperventilating and has been hyperventilating since the 2nd round.  He isn’t in boxing shape and fights like an amateur boxer.  When Hrgovic said he fought like an amateur he wasn’t throwing shade on Itauma, he was being honest.  Moses has awesome boxing skills but he isn’t built like a boxer.  This has to do with the way he was brought up.  Ben Davis is good coach, but how many amateurs and novices has he coached?  How did he come up? Ben trains guys who are the finished products.  He isn’t a builder.  He is a finisher.  So I don’t know that Ben can fix Itauma’s issues.  You see this sort of breathing pattern in the amateurs, and this sort of exhaustion in the amateurs.  You rarely see this in pros and if you do it is never to this extreme.  Andrew Golota is a guy that comes to mind.  All his fouls were never all that malice but they were always to get a rest because he would hyperventilate in the ring.  He would start diggging shots to the balls and do it u til the ref gave him a 5 minute breather.  He would head butt a guy in hopes that the ref would give his opponent time to recover.  Basically it is all about tension and breathing.  Tension is the number one factor in having good cardio.  Look at James Toney and Tyson Fury.  Do they gas?  No, because the are completely relaxed in the ring.  How do you train this?  Long slow relaxed rounds on the bag, mitts, and especially through shadow boxing.  This is why Abel Sanchez made the comment about no strength and athletic trainers in big bear.  They come from other sports and they are all about high intensity explosive development which is the opposite of what you want.  High intensity explosive movements teaches full body tension.  Sparring tired also helps teach you to relax, because when you get tired you would much rather get hit than move.  This teaches you how to move as little as possible and defend yourself.  This is one of the reasons most pros have a better and stronger guard than their amateur counterparts.  Through long grueling sparring sessions they learn to rely on their guard more so the can use less energy/movement.  Lastly and most importantly you have to teach a fighter to breath in and out their nose.  This should start when they walk into the gym.  It is really hard for newbies to do this because the feel like they need more oxygen and deeper breathes are the answer.  I am not going to get into the science of breathing but what do you do when someone is hyperventilating all out?  Brown paper bag, right.  Why? Because it puts CO2 back into the lunges and CO2 relaxes everything in the body.  CO2 tells the body to use more of the oxygen that you take in.  At rest you use about 25% of the oxygen you breath in.  When you are exercising you use about 75% of the oxygen you take in.  The cue to the body or the switch is CO2.  When you are breathing through the mouth and you are breathing hard through the mouth you are expelling all the CO2 and that begins to internally suffocate you because you can no longer access the oxygen you are breathing in.  You have to keep CO2 levels up in a fight so you can access oxygen and this is best done through nose breathing and relaxation.  Hyperventilation and panic attacks have the same symptoms and one can lead to the other.  Moses breathing out of the mouth was driving his exhaustion and it was slowly suffocating him during the course of the fight.  The harder he breathed as the fight went along the less oxygen was available to him.

Definitely not a panic attack. Heavy anaerobic respiration produces similar symptoms in terms of heart rate and breathing. But it's obvious this was caused by excessive exertion, not psychological panic. Stamina athletes look like this at least twice a week - when you put in your heavy Vo2max or lactate sessions. Fairly common for track athletes to even be crawling and vomiting between reps (personally I think that's overdoing it but you can see footage of track stars like Keely Hodgkinson in this sort of state on Youtube). A lot of boxers train to this level too and in my view they should.

Ego I agree, wholeheartedly about the comparison between the new boxers and old boxers. It’s similar to when Shakur claims he’s gonna knock somebody out knowing that he does not usually get knockouts. It’s only added pressure.

I thought Moses was dying from how exhausted he was

Did bro train at all before the fight?? He was so out of shape he couldn’t even stand to walk out

Hrgovic. Recited the Rocky Bilboa . Sylvester Stallone motivational speech. Moses  said you won't last that long. What if you hit me in the chin with everything and i keep moving forward. ?

A panic attack would have been the end of the fight, because mental chaos & breakdown in this situation. ... not: 10 seconds & go.

Utter NONSENSE! The exact same mechanisms kick in with exhaustion due to extreme physical exertion! “Panic attack” 👏🏻🤣
