ABOUT:
This one is really close to my heart, Live Looping on the MPC. This video is a breakdown of my live looping process on the MPC and the new firmware 3.5. I wanted to showcase a couple ways you can go about doing it, some tips and tricks along the way. Then I also have a little discussion regarding the MPC 3.5 firmware and its reliability, the future for me as a performer with it as my centrepiece and just some general yarn along the way.

Add on top of this the erratic behaviour, on- off bugs that are there and happen whenever they want, bugs that are so obviously bugs IF you're a little used to MPC normal behaviour, otherwise you'd think you're the one to blame for your wrong doing or ignorance.
On the positive side, it's a potentially great idea,device with which you can ( sometimes) do amazing things, and I'm hoping, begging crossfingering for AKAI InMusic to realise seriously and take responsability for having allowed so many thousands of people buy, use their savings to buy their products, when they're yet not ready with so many on-off fails,bugs
If just this wasn't happening it would be just a perfect device for so many future buyers to invest on.

it’s always great, for me..watching someone making good music, using real musical instruments, and on an MPC. ;)
i have been interested in the MPC Live ever since the mk i came out.
it was looking great, when v3 was released, but as soon as i learned about the lack of odd time signature coverage, and the performance and stability and/or reliability major..issues.. i sort of tuned out.
for a multi-instrumentalist,like me ..looking for a live-looping dawless setup, and specially for a song-sketching dawless portable setup i can see now.. this won’t work for me.
